Initially, I thought the stories in The Adventures of Women in Tech could speak for themselves and inspire women as examples they could follow in their own careers. Yet, as I promoted the book and spoke at events, there were certain pieces of advice that I shared over and over again -- detailed advice on how I find support, how I speak up in a room, how I take up more space, how to pace your career over a lifetime.

I spoke with my colleague, Marily Nika, about this need. She’d experienced the same with requests for events, LinkedIn advice, and mentees. We agreed it was time to write the workbook follow-up to The Adventures of Women in Tech. We needed to give you action-oriented advice to walk through these everyday challenges in our careers.

May this workbook be the support you need when you’re not sure what you can do or how you can do it, when you need support and you feel alone. We are never truly alone, and we hope this workbook helps you both navigate how you feel and also find the support you need to grow and flourish in your career.
